Wooden Hearth Object

This hand-carved wooden piece was originally used in a traditional Japanese home as part of a hearth hook system (jizaikagi), where it helped suspend a kettle over an open fire. The wood has naturally darkened over time from years of exposure to steam and smoke.

Its sculptural shape and rich patina make it a beautiful decorative object in a modern setting. It can be styled on a shelf or table, adding warmth and a sense of history to any space.
