An antique French earthenware pot from the Provence region. Made from local clay with a warm reddish-brown glaze, it was once used for storing preserved foods or olive oil. The glaze fades softly toward the base, revealing the natural tone of the clay beneath.
Dating to around 1900, this vessel carries the quiet character of everyday life in southern France. The simple, rounded form and sturdy twin handles were shaped by hand.
Beautiful on its own or as a vessel for dried stems or utensils, adding texture and history to any space.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with minor surface wear and irregularities consistent with age.
