The Perrier Lantern

A handmade ceramic lantern crafted in southern France around the mid-20th century. Formed from grès stoneware and finished in a mottled ochre glaze, the piece features cut-out geometric openings that cast gentle light when a candle is placed inside. 

This lantern was likely made in the tradition of Grès Perrier, a regional workshop known for rustic stoneware and expressive glazes produced throughout Provence in the 1950s–1970s. 

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with natural variations and minor imperfections consistent with handcraft and age.
