The Ochre Vessel - French Earthenware, c.1900
$245.00

A traditional French confit pot from the Provence region. Made from local clay with a deep yellow glaze, it was once used to preserve food in the cool earth of a cellar. The glaze has aged beautifully, revealing a textured surface of worn ochre and natural clay beneath.

Dating to around 1900, this pot carries the history of southern French daily life. The twin handles and rounded form were made entirely by hand, giving it a sculptural presence that feels both rustic and refined.

Perfect as a standalone object or vessel for dried branches, adding a grounded warmth to modern interiors.

Condition: Worn antique condition with surface wear and chips consistent with age and use. Glaze has naturally faded in areas.

Dimensions: 8” diameter x 8”H
