This vase was made by a potter named Hoji (保知) and fired in a traditional wood kiln. The round shape and narrow neck give it a classic feel, while the surface shows natural variation from the firing process.

Made using high-heat wood firing, each mark on the surface reflects how the flame and ash moved through the kiln. It looks great on its own or with a single stem, and works well as a subtle, sculptural accent in any room.
